Floor ("we") is an invite-only social app for traders at trainonfloor.com. This page says, in plain words, what we keep about you, why, who else touches it, and how you can download or delete it. We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.
What we keep
- Your account: name, username, password (stored only as a salted scrypt hash, never in readable form), member number, the invite code you joined with and who made it, join date, and, if you add them, a profile photo, bio and city.
- If you use Continue with Google: your Google account's ID number and email address, and the name Google shares (used only to fill in your name when you join). We use them only to sign you in. We never see your Google password, and we do not get your contacts, Gmail or anything else in your Google account.
- What you post: entries, photos, videos, captions, comments, stories (shown for 24 hours), live-room chat, reactions, saves, the traders you watch, today's bias and answers to price questions. Photos and videos have location and camera details removed when uploaded.
- Paper trading: your play-money orders, positions and closed trades, and anything you add to them (ideas, mood, journal notes). Mood, flags and journal notes are private to you.
- Use of the app: which entries you viewed (so an author can see how many traders saw a post, never who), the days you were active, when you were last online, and your signed-in devices (by type, such as "iPhone · Safari").
- Phone alerts: if you turn them on, the push address your phone gives us, and its last delivery result.
- Technical: our server logs record the IP address, time and page of each request. We use them to keep the service working and stop abuse, not for advertising.
- Waiting list: if you ask for an invitation, the name, contact and note you type, used only to invite you.
Why we keep it
To run your account and the app (show your posts, record your paper trades, rank traders, send the alerts you chose), to keep members safe (moderation, blocking, stopping spam and scams), and to understand in total how the app is used so we can improve it.
Who can see what
- Floor is invite only. Your profile, entries, trades and record are visible to other signed-in members, not to the public internet.
- "Dil ki baat" entries show no name to members. They are still stored with your account so abuse can be acted on.
- Blocked members cannot see you, and you can mute anyone.
- Admins can see the information needed to run and moderate Floor.
Services we use
- Railway: hosts the app and its database (servers in Singapore).
- Cloudflare: our domain name and its DNS.
- Google Fonts: the app's fonts are loaded from Google, which sees your IP address when they load.
- Google sign-in: if you choose Continue with Google, Google confirms who you are and tells us your Google ID, email and name. Google's own privacy policy covers what happens on Google's side.
- Apple, Google and Mozilla push services: deliver phone alerts if you turn them on.
- Exchange market data: prices and candles come from a public exchange feed. Our server asks for them; if it cannot, your device asks the feed directly. No personal data is sent.
- YouTube and Twitch: a live room may show their player, which then follows their own privacy rules.
How long we keep it
As long as your account exists. Stories disappear after 24 hours. When you delete your account, your profile, entries, comments, photos, videos, paper trades and the rest are deleted at once. We keep no separate backup copies today, so nothing is kept after deletion. If we add backups later, deleted data will leave them within 30 days, and this page will say so.
Your choices
- Download your data: Settings (your profile → ··· → Settings) → Your data → Download your data.
- Delete your account: Settings → Your data → Delete your account, or see Delete account.
- Correct it: edit your profile at any time, or write to us.
- Alerts: turn each kind on or off in Settings.
- Google sign-in: connect or disconnect your Google account in Settings → Password and phones. Disconnecting removes the Google ID and email from your Floor account (set a password first, so you can still sign in).
Security
The app is served only over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, sessions can be ended from Settings, and joining needs an invitation. No system is perfectly safe; if something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.
Age
Floor is for people aged 18 and over.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and tell members in the app when the change matters.
